Sambo Show to Defend Against Project Mayhem

By: Mitchell Frantz

After winning the Tag Team Gauntlet, Project Mayhem will have the opportunity to take on The Sambo Show for the PPW Tag Team Championships!

The gauntlet, which involved 8 total teams, came down to Project Mayhem and Suky & Madd Dawg, representing Joe Davis’s SINS. In the end, Smiley and Elijah Eden were able to knock off the two heavyweights and advance to take on The Sambo Show on Saturday, September 11th.

Project Mayhem were under the radar heading into the tournament, as teams like South Philly’s Finest or SINS appeared to have the advantage heading into the night. Ultimately, it was Eden and Smiley who had their arms raised at the end of the contest.

The Sambo Show have been dominant since the pandemic, and have recently appeared on AEW programming. These two teams are not familiar with each other, but with the gold up for grabs, you must believe that both teams will pull out all the stops to walk out as champions.
