A star studded mixed tag team match will take place at Dirty Dancin’, as former PPW Heavyweight Champion Afa Jr. teams with former WWE NXT superstar and former PPW Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez team up to take on another former Heavyweight/Women’s Champion duo in Mike Orlando and Christina Marie!
For the longest time, PPW fans have salivated at the idea of two of the best heavyweights in company history, Afa Jr. and Mike Orlando, locking horns to see which man is better. The two have had defining eras as the top dog in PPW, with Afa dominating most of 2014-2016 while Orlando was on top of the mountain around 2017-2018. Both men have returned to PPW since the pandemic, and have been having standout matches ever since. In fact, the two even teamed up with Dark Order members 10 & V in August.
As for the women, Christina Marie vs. Mercedes Martinez was arguably PPW’s rivalry of the year in 2019. The two women had a multi-month war over the coveted PPW Women’s Championship. Christina ended up with the gold in the end, and Martinez ended on moving on to WWE shortly after. Now, back in the independents and hungrier than ever, Martinez and Christina look to wage the latest war in their rivalry.
Two teams full of history, but only one will win. Will it be Afa and Mercedes? Or will Orlando and Christina prevail?
