BREAKING: Koko B Ware is Coming to Scranton

By: Mitchell Frantz

Breaking news out of PPW this evening, as WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware has officially agreed to appear at the Marketplace at Steamtown on August 10th for PPW Brawl in the Mall!

Starting his career in 1978, Koko B. Ware was most known for his time in WWE in the mid-to-late 80’s, where he became a popular act alongside his beloved macaw, Frankie. Coming out flapping his arms like a bird and having Frankie watch from a perch as he was wrestling, “The Birdman”quickly became beloved act by fans, especially those in the younger generations. With his bright hair and bright clothing choices it was no wonder why kids were very fond of Ware and why he was a fan favorite wherever he went.

In 1992, the Tennessee native joined forces with Owen Hart to form the tag team High Energy, but the team only lasted one year until Hart suffered a knee injury. Ware would continue wrestling for WWE until 1994, and went into a semi retirement from wrestling in 1995.

In 2009, the hard work of "The Birdman" was rewarded when Ware was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
