BREAKING: TJP & Summer Rae to Appear at June Show Destiny

By: Mitchell Frantz

Major news coming out of Hazleton today, as former WWE stars TJP and Summer Rae has officially been added to PPW’s June 22nd show, Destiny, at the Holy Family Academy in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

TJP began his career at 14 years old, training in his native Los Angeles, California. Not even 3 years later, he was wrestling in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s wrestling school alongside the likes of Bryan Danielson (aka Daniel Bryan).

He spent the next decade wrestling for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Ring of Honor, as well as other independent companies. He would also wrestle sporadically for TNA during that time before signing full time in 2013 as Manik, a spin off of the popular Suicide character.

He joined WWE for the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016, and defeated Da Mack, Johnny Gargano, Rich Swann, Kota Ibushi and Gran Metalik on his way to winning the tournament. The tournament also made him the first champion of the rebooted cruiserweight division and subsequent show, 205 Live.

After being released earlier this year, this will be one of TJP’s very first independent matches.

In addition to TJP, Danielle Moinet, known more popularly as Summer Rae, will be apart of PPW Destiny as well. The Manhasset, New York native has been apart of multiple WWE angles, whether she was Fandango’s dance partner or was managing stars such as Damien Mizdow, Rusev, Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze. Rae has also been seen as a competitor, including competing for the Diva’s Championship at Wrestlemania XXX.
