After JC Storm debuted last month by ruining the championship match between champion Christina Marie and Adena Steele, Marie and Storm will square off with the gold on the line. Joining them will be the debuting Notorious Mimi.
Christina has been champion for nearly two years, defeating current WWE NXT star Mercedes Martinez to win the gold. The Albany native is the only multi-time PPW Women’s Champion in history.
She will have some steep competition to go up against, however. JC Storm came to PPW as a complete surprise, immediately letting her intentions be known by causing a disqualification in the Women’s Championship last month at “The Return.” Being granted a championship match might rub some women the wrong way, but Storm has all the tools to become a major player in the division for a long time.
Not to be outdone, The Notorious Mimi comes with a large amount of excitement behind her. The stunning grappler was trained at the Wild Famous Monster Factory, and comes with high praise for her ability between the ropes. PPW management is believing the hype, throwing her right into the fire with a championship opportunity on her very first night.
