After nearly two years as the PPW Women’s Champion, Christina Marie looks to pick herself back up against the debuting Erica Leigh at “Aerial Assault”!
Marie has a solid argument for being the greatest women’s wrestler in PPW history. The New York native is the only woman to hold the PPW Women’s Championship twice, and her nearly 2-year reign as champion is by far the longest in PPW history. A win against Leigh would set up Christina to challenge for the gold in the near future.
With that being said, do not discredit the ability of Erica Leigh. The Richmond, Virginia native may have her quirks, but she can absolutely go in between the ropes. Leigh was chosen for this year’s first ever Women’s Super 8 Tournament, and will look to carry that momentum into Brodheadsville on August 14th. The Virginia native is also currently Pro Wrestling Magic’s Champion for both men and women, further proving her skill. While she has only been wrestling professionally since 2018, she has already competed for independent promotions like Beyond Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling.
Christina Marie will be going into this contest with bad intentions, as she is looking to take out some rage for losing her beloved PPW Women’s Championship. Meanwhile, Erica will look to show that she is not only spunky and fun to be a round, but a fantastic competitor between the ropes.
