After Evander James and Charles Mason wrestled in the main event of an episode of PPW High Voltage about a month ago, something weird happened, the two became the best of friends.
After their match, it looked as though Mason was up to his usual antics, slapping James’s hand away after he wanted a handshake. This seemed to be the end of it, but then the Titan Outlaws had different plans, attacking Evander after the match and beginning the beatdown of the former PPW Heavyweight Champion.
From out of nowhere though, Charles Mason came back to the ring to help his opponent fend off Bull Hightower and Bo Nekoda before finally agreeing to shake his hand. Now dubbing themselves “The Trustees”, this was the start of a relationship that has led the two to a PPW Tag-Team Championship match against the Mane Event at PPW Last Call.
The duo faced off with the Punk Rock All Stars last month at PPW Countdown, taking down the former PPW Tag Team Champions and helping earn themselves a shot at Midas Black and Jay Lyon.
So, the two biggest questions heading into the match become, will James and Mason be able to stay on the same page after being a team for such a short amount of time? The other being, will the Mane Event underestimate this new team? Especially when they might still be worried about South Philly’s Finest attacking them a few months back.
We will find out at PPW Last Call coming to you live from the Holy Family Academy in Hazleton, Pa on Saturday, March 21st!
