Header Faces First Test in Kitano

By: Mitchell Frantz

Fresh off of winning his first ever championship in PPW, Television Champion Andy Header will have to defend the gold against Nolo Kitano!

This is not Header and Kitano’s first time squaring off against each other, as the two fought back in December of 2019. In that contest, it would be “The Ghetto Samurai” who picked up the victory over the current Television Champion. That result would lead to a match on July 17th in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, this time with the PPW Television Championship on the line.

Winning the PPW Television Championship has been quite the journey for Header. The Pottsville native started off as a member of the massive Undeniable faction in 2018, and eventually split from the group in late 2019. In 2020, Header broke out with his gutsy Resolution Rumble performance where he lasted longer than any other competitor after drawing number 1. Header took the momentum he was building in 2020 and rocked Johnny Moran with one punch to capture his first ever PPW Championship.

As for Kitano, “The Ghetto Samurai” has quietly built up an impressive resume in PPW. The cruiserweight won his debut match against Mantequilla, and followed that up with a victory over the aforementioned Header. Kitano also had a solid showing in the Resolution Rumble as well as in February, but was unsuccessful in winning those contests.

These two men both have a lot of momentum, but only one can emerge as the champion. Will Header retain in his first championship defense? Or will Kitano end the Pottsville native’s reign just as it is getting started?
