Buddy Matthews (formerly known as Buddy Murphy) is widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world. Two of PPW’s best competitors, JT Dunn and Facade, both have been pleading with PPW management to take on the former WWE Tag Team Champion. Management believes that both men have legitimate arguments to face Matthews, so that’s exactly what will happen on September 11th at PPW VIII!
Dunn is fresh off of a victory over MLW star KC Navarro at Aerial Assault on August 14th. Dunn, who made his first appearance in a PPW ring since 2014 last month, has made his name in the New England region as one of the premiere unsigned talents in independent wrestling today during his time away.
Meanwhile, Facade has long been considered one of, if not the most beloved competitor in all of PPW. His dizzying aerial maneuvers combined with unmatched fan engagement have turned Facade into one of the pillars of PPW.
The third, and certainly not least of the competitors, Buddy Matthews, is one of the most sought-after free agents in all of WWE. The former Buddy Murphy was surprisingKH released earlier this year by WWE, and will be making his first post-WWE appearance on the east coast. It’s no secret that everyone on the PPW roster wanted a crack at Matthews, but Dunn and Facade will be the two who management hand-picked to challenge the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Will Dunn continue his winning streak over impressive opponents? Will Facade prove that he is the guy in PPW? Or will Matthews prove that he is considered one of the best in the world for a reason?
