Orlando, James Look to Earn Championship Match at Super Show II

By: Mitchell Frantz

Mike Orlando has had plenty of issues as of late with current PPW Heavyweight Champion “Hybrid” Sean Carr.

Carr for the past few months has been weaseling out of Hazleton with his championship, and getting involved in Orlando’s matches in the process.

The Green Machine would love nothing more than to get his hands on Carr in a one-on-one contest, but the only way to guarantee that is to win this match against former PPW Heavyweight Champion Evander James. "Michigan Muscle" Cody Vance was also supposed to be apart of the match, but suffered a torn ACL that takes him out of action for a considerable amount of time. PPW wishes Vance the best on his road to recovery.

Carr might not even make it to Super Show II, as Samuel Adams will take on Carr for the PPW Heavyweight Championship at Throwdown on 5th Street, the same night that this major triple threat match is set to take place.

For Evander James, “The Man you can Trust” has been on the doorstep of regaining his PPW Heavyweight Championship for multiple months now, but has come up just short in shattering his glass ceiling. There was the setback against Carr at Vision in November. Then there was the match against Fallah Bahh at New Beginnings that James could not pick up the victory in.

While those were two high profile matches, The Man you can Trust could not pick up a victory in either one of them, so the former Golden Ticket holder may be running out of opportunities.

With two other men involved, James will look to pick his spot and win the contest by choosing where to attack in a very calculated manner.

Which man will walk out of Hazleton with a victory and guaranteed championship opportunity at Super Show II? Will it be the longest reigning PPW Heavyweight Champion in company history in Mike Orlando? Will it be The Most Honest Man in Professional Wrestling, Evander James?

Find out all of this and more when Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling presents Throwdown on 5th Street! The event will take place at the Holy Family Academy in Hazleton at 7 pm on March 16th. Tickets are on sale now at ppwwrestling.com/shop.
