Sean Carr has basically been unbeatable since he became PPW Heavyweight Champion at Vision in November.
He strengthened his vice grip on PPW’s top prize even more when he recruited big man Lamar Hawkins to be his “Insurance Policy” for every match. Whether it is pulling at opponent’s legs or putting himself in harm’s way so the champion can retain, Hawkins does whatever it takes in order to allow Carr to leave Hazleton every month with the championship around his waist.
Sean Carr has knocked off some of the biggest names on the independent scene during his championship reign, including Terrell Kenneth, Brian Pillman Jr., and Samuel Adams. Also, who can forget that grueling 6-man ladder match for the gold, in which Carr snuck out of Hazleton with his championship after Mike Orlando fumbled the championship and allowed for it to drop into Carr’s hands? No matter who has come to challenge the champion, they have all left in defeat.
Something feels different about Evander James, however. “The Man you can Trust” for the first time since he has arrived in Hazleton is actually living up to his nickname. After addressing the fans about it before his number one contender’s match against Adam Chandler The Great, James seems like a completely different man who is totally rejuvenated.
While Evander is feeling refreshed, it does not change history, as “The Man you can Trust” has yet to defeat Sean Carr in their two previous meetings in PPW, including at Vision for the then vacant PPW Heavyweight Championship. Will the third time be a charm? Evander, as well as the PPW Nation, certainly hope so.
